Every Christmas, there is always a list of must-have toys for the festive period. They change every year and always fly off the shelves of the shops and of Santa’s workshop! The Toy Retailers Association are the “voice for Toy Retailers in the UK and Ireland” and release their picks of the best toys from each year.
Their choices are picked by a panel of retailers and industry experts every year. This year’s top toys feature classic toy brands such as Barbie, Monopoly, Harry Potter, Lego and Star Wars. As well as that, Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig and Pokemon are featured along with L.O.L Surprise.
Here are some of the Top Twelve Toys of 2020.
The first toy is the popular “Baby Yoda” figure from Star Wars ‘The Mandalorian’ series. The Child Plush Figure is an 11-inch toy with a soft body and a base filled with beans. It is perfect for playing with, cuddling or even displaying as a collectable. It is the perfect gift for those who love the series or the Star Wars franchise in general. Check it out on the Toy Retailers Association list here.
LEGO is an ever-popular franchise that entertains children of all ages. This year’s top toys featured a Super Mario themed set. The Super Mario Adventures With Mario Starter Course can connect to a free smartphone app for enhanced play as well as a number of platforms to assemble. It can be rearranged time and time again so the fun never stops.
The 5 Surprise Mini Brands Mystery Capsule Real Miniature Brands Collectible Toy is popular among both children, teenagers and adults alike. The set is purchased as a bauble-like structure, which is then unwrapped and peeled to reveal miniature collectables. The items inside are based on real brands such as Birds Ete, Aunt Bessie, Mentos and many more.
Remote control cars have been popular for many, many years. However, the Laser Battle Hunters are a bit different. These cars have an innovative, multi-directional 4-wheel driving system. They have a built-in infrared cannon where they can blast the opponent with ease. There are two different modes to play which means more ways to play and less time to get bored with it.
Monopoly is a great game to play. We all love the competition that comes with it. However, we also all know a very sore loser who doesn’t deal well with losing. Monopoly For Sore Losers is the next addition to the long line and variations of this classic game. It has all the fun of regular Monopoly without the frustration of it. Players are rewarded for things that may usually kick things off such as going to jail, paying rent on property or going bankrupt. There is even a system with Mr. Monopoly to help you get back from even the stickiest of situations. Who would’ve thought that they’d want to go bankrupt?
