Hatamatics is a company offering ethically handmade hats from Nepal. We pride ourselves in using the best quality materials and for giving back to the community where the hats are made.
Our hats are made to keep you warm and cosy and to last for years and years.
Because our hats are 100% wool and fleece lined they guarantee to keep you insulated and warm and cosy.
We support the Nepalese Local charity and for every hat sold we will donate a percentage of our profits to help the cause.
We work closely with the skilled craftswomen and ensure the workers are treated ethically and work in a safe, healthy environment.
Sandip comes from Kathmandu and has been living in Ireland for 8 years with his wife, Louise and their 3 children. He noticed the popularity of Nepalese goods in Ireland when he gave presents to his family from Nepal, particularly the hats and he wanted to work with the people of Nepal to bring the hats to Ireland and provide warmth and comfort for the Irish weather. The designs come in lots of different colours and patterns, some with babbles and some without. We also have head bands in a variety of colours including a doggy design, very popular for dog walkers.
Our hats make an excellent Christmas present, as they are of amazing quality, perfect for the winter weather and guaranteed to last. They are reasonably priced from €20 to €30.
The words Hata meaning hat in Irish and matics from the Greek for maths came together when deciding on a name for the business with Aidan, Sandip and Louise’s eldest son who loves maths!
